We value your privacy and want to make sure you’re aware of your options to control the information you’ve shared with us. With the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) coming into effect in the European Union on 25 May 2018, we thought we’d take the opportunity to provide more details about managing your information and subscriptions no matter where you live. Rest assured that our core commitments regarding your privacy have not changed, including our pledge to protect your data, to never sell your information, and to limit data sharing to contracted vendors—like those that manage aspects of World Convention—on a need-to-know basis.
What’s changing?
To ensure that our practices align with EU regulations, we are making it easier for you to request, delete, and update your information. Nothing will change about your current subscription settings or the personal data we hold unless you initiate a change.
Opt in or out of your email subscriptions
You gave us your information when you signed up to receive e-blasts and periodical subscriptions. Today’s regulations refer to that as “soft consent.” New regulations state that “consent should be given by a clear affirmative act” so we’re asking you to clarify your permission by taking one of the following actions:
- OPT IN to continue receiving email from NA World Services by clicking here and then sending the pre-addressed email that’s created
- OPT OUT of all email communications from NA World Services by clicking here and sending the pre-addressed email that’s created
- Follow this link to login to our database where you can:
- opt in, opt out, or manage the types of emails you get from us
- to update or delete the contact information you’ve previously provided
If you receive Just for Today emails, you provided your email address and, optionally, your name. This information is held in a separate database. If JFT is your only subscription, this would be the only information we’ve collected from you. To stop receiving the daily meditation and remove your information from that database, click here and submit your email address to unsubscribe.
